Occasionally, issues arise when listening to or viewing a game on MSBN that can be solved very easily.  Please check this page to see if you are able to solve an issue on your own!

Q: Is there a particular browser MSBN works best with?

Yes!  Games on the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network are best viewed in MOZILLA FIREFOX. If you are attempting to view a game in a browser other than this and have Mozilla Firefox, please switch over and try this first. MSBN also tends have few problems with Internet Explorer.

Q: I have no audio or video...what are the steps I should follow?

1. Verify that you have Windows Media Player installed on your computer.

To download Windows Media Player, click here:    

2. When you try to open a webcast to listen, do you see a yellow bar at the top of the screen? If so, click on it and choose to "Install ActiveX control". You may need to restart (open and close) your browser, but you'll only have to do this once.

3. If you're sure that you already have Windows Media Player, and no yellow bar is showing up in your browser window, try downloading the latest WM9 codecs.

4. Are you a Firefox user and can't find the appropriate plug-in?    Download Firefox Plugin

5. Are you a Mac/OS X user, and need assistance?    Player For Mac

(Macs tend to give MSBN the most problems.  If you have a Mac, please use Mozilla Firefox, download the player above, and run your Mac in 32-bit mode for greatest success.)

Q: I am trying to watch a video broadcast, but I would like to watch it in full-screen.  What do I do?

A: To watch a game in full-screen, use the right-click button on your mouse and click on the video player.  A list of selections will pop up, one of which being "Zoom."  Click on that selection, and one of the selections from that will be "Full-Screen."   Select full-screen, and teh video should now fill your entire screen.

Q: How can I listen to or watch an archived game on MSBN?

A: The same way you would listen to a live game on MSBN!  Simply go to our Full Archive page from the MSBN Home Page, or click on this link below:

OR, you can go the archives of every game for a specific team by going back to the MSBN Home Page and scrolling down to the Team Pages dropdown box and finding your school or team!
